Enrich your students' education!
We offer four exciting, child-appropriate operas which will enhance the learning of performing arts standards.
The shows are specifically written for elementary school children and performed directly at the schools or your preferred venue.
Guild Opera Company’s school shows are interactive where students participate through singing and acting. The shows are 35 to 45 minutes long and are culturally significant and filled with important life lessons, rich musical language and FUN!
If you would like to request a performance for your school, community organization or group please contact us!
Our 4 School Programs
Little Red Riding Hood
This delightful music, set to the classic fairy tale, is a perfect vehicle to introduce children to the enchanting world of opera. They will also learn to listen to their elders, do their homework, and not speak to strange wolves!
Wade in the Water
The powerful communication of African-American spirituals and their connection to our country’s rich cultural heritage is presented through a story portraying Harriet Tubman helping a slave escape to freedom. A moving experience!
Authentic zarzuela (Spanish opera) music with an original story that emphasizes the importance of learning how to read … even for a singing and dancing “star.” Performed bilingually!
Alice in Wonderland
This charming opera, written by Robert Chauls based on the Lewis Carroll classic, is filled with familiar characters and delightful melodies! Not to be missed!
